JOHANNESBURG - AfriForum and Solidarity say they prefer that Afrikaners stay in South Africa.

This is according to Solidarity Chairperson, Flip Buys.

Buys says that they will stay to rebuild the country, rather than relocate to the United States.

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to prioritise the resettlement of Afrikaners in the US.

This is as Trump continues his hardline stance against South Africa in response to the country's new Expropriation Act.

Meanwhile, Afriforum's Kallie Kriel says the South African government are to blame for the executive order.

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation says that they are concerned.

They say that the order is not based on factual accuracy.

Spokesperson Chrispin Phiri says that the government will address the misinformation.
