KWAZULU-NATAL - The ANC leadership is visiting KwaZulu-Natal as part of the party’s collective assessment process after a dismal electoral performance in May.
The former liberation movement lost political power in KwaZulu-Natal, only getting 17% of the vote, down from 54% in 2019.

It was humiliated by former President Jacob Zuma backed uMkhonto WeSizwe Party which secured 45%.
This led to the formation of a government of provincial unity between the ANC, IFP, DA and NFP.
