WHITE RIVER, MPUMALANGA - After their brief court appearance, the ninety-five Libyan nationals arrested in White River have maintained their innocence.
The group appeared at the White River Magistrate's Court in Mpumalanga.
They were apprehended during a raid of a military-style training facility. The group faces charges of violating the National Immigration Act.

Police discovered military tents, firearms, and drugs during a joint operation with Home Affairs.
They'll remain in custody until the next court date set for August 5th.

According to the group they came to South Africa for training as security guards.
They say they are prepared to accept any judgement from the state.
