JOHANNESBURG - The ANC says it's not threatened by the fierce battle unfolding for the control of KwaZulu-Natal.
Four parties are vying to oust it in the 29 May election.
There's also the new MK Party which has succeeded to split the ANC vote in Vryhed, Phongolo and Newcastle.
The ANC's head of elections Mdumseni Ntuli said they are convinced there is no political party in KwaZulu-Natal that poses a serious threat to the ANC.
"Of course we've been concerned about and we remain concerned about people who have decided to leave the ANC to join other political parties," he said.
"Whenever a person leaves the ANC it remains a matter of concern to us."
