JOHANNESBURG - It's one of the most stressful periods in the South African academic calendar.
In less than ten days, thousands of Grade 12 pupils will sit down for the all-important matric exams.
As if worrying about your paper wasn't enough, pupils have to contend with blackouts and now also water cuts -- not ideal conditions to prepare for crucial exams.
Those who attended the study camp hope that it will give them the necessary edge during the exams.
The country's pass rate has come in for a lot of criticism over the years.
It dropped to below 80 percent, although recently there was a slight improvement to just over 80 percent.
Teacher union SADTU believes enough work has been put in to ensure teachers and pupils are ready.
Learners have been encouraged to avoid joining any Whatsapp groups where it's believed leaked exam papers and answers are circulated.
