WATCH | Parts of Joburg without water

JOHANNESBURG - Water continues to be a scarce resource in many parts of Johannesburg.

It's partly seasonal. With hotter weather, comes higher consumer demand, but what is becoming increasingly clear is that we don't have enough reservoirs to meet demand, and we don't have enough money to fix the massive infrastructure problems the city is facing.

In its latest update, Johannesburg Water says some systems are experiencing critically low water levels.

It's warning that some areas will be without water from 7am to 10pm on Tuesday to repair leaking valves.

They include Craighall, Hyde Park, Wynberg, Alexandra and Highlands North.

Senior reporter Aviwe Mtila has the latest on Joburg's water problems.
