WATCH | City Power gets a boost to battle blackouts

JOHANNESBURG - It will take 6 months to get at least 50 megawatts onto the grid to reduce the severity of rolling blackouts in the country’s economic hub.

The Gauteng government is giving City Power R441m to upgrade its plants and build more generating capacity that could see the utility powering the entire province.
