JOHANNESBURG - Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube is under fire for boycotting the signing ceremony of the Basic Education Laws Amendment Bill last Friday.
Gwarube said she was against the bill in its current form and had requested President Ramaphosa to refer it back to Parliament for reconsideration in terms of Section 79 of the Constitution.
Teachers unions are now calling for her resignation.
