WATCH | ANC denies interventions are for votes

JOHANNESBURG - The ANC says interventions by its National Executive Committee have nothing to do with campaigning for the elections.

The NEC has been holding a three-day meeting, deliberating on several challenges  the party has failed to address, including crime, poor service delivery, and water and power challenges.

ANC spokesperson Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri had this to say.

Over the past weekend, the ANC said it is looking at possible interventions to deal with the cost of living crisis.

The party's National Executive Committee has raised concern over the way retailers react when crises like the avian flu arise.
