JOHANNESBURG - The Border Management Authority is taking precautions following the adverse weather affecting several provinces.
It decided to close Sani Pass, Boesmansnek and Monontsha ports of entry for operations today until further notice.
Meanwhile, warnings of severe weather have been issued for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
That includes disruptive snowfalls and cold to cold and wet conditions in the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, and KZN.
Large parts of the country have experienced a substantial drop in temperatures and heavy rain.
Border Management Authority spokesperson, Mmemme Mogotsi has an update in the video above.
At the same time, the South African Weather Service's Amukelani Mkhari says more snowfall is expected over high-lying areas of KZN, Free State and the Eastern Cape.
