Impala Platinum Strike | Talks deadlocked as 2,000 miners remain underground

RUSTENBURG - Negotiations have reached a stalemate at the Implats Platinum Mine, Rasimone shaft operations in Rustenburg after workers rejected their union leadership.

Over 2,000 workers have remained underground since reporting for duty on Monday morning.

So far only 75 workers have resurfaced and most of them are on chronic medication.
