JOHANNESBURG - More than 100,000 adolescents give birth in South Africa every year.
Specifically, the number of babies born to teen moms at public health facilities continues to rise at an alarming rate.
The South African Medical Research Council says spaces and platforms need to be created for girls and young women to be educated about contraceptives.
"The issue lies on those in power who need to create the spaces and demystify the myths," said Kim Jonas.
