JOHANNESBURG - Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.

It speaks to youth in a language they understand. These are the words of Tata Nelson Mandela. Tony Frost and a group of passionate social cyclists have come together to play their part in changing the world of education through the 1965 Ride for Education initiative. 

It's a 850km cycle between Johannesburg and Queenstown that seeks to raise funds for an educational scholarship and bursary fund for students at quality schools.

Initiative founder Tony Frost, chartered accountant and Cofimvaba native Siliziwe Mafika and the first black African Springbok Kaya Malotana spoke to eNCA.
