JOHANNESBURG - The South African Rugby Union has reiterated its stance it's not selling the Springboks brand in their proposed deal with an equity partner.
Saru CEO Rian Oberholzer says it's trying to expand the brand to new territories but the team and emblem remain the property of Saru.
"I think there's a misconception," he said.
"We're not selling the Springboks. We are creating a commercial company that will assist us to expand our brand in new territories."
