JOHANNESBURG - Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has put the brakes on SA Rugby's Special General Meeting.
The meeting was meant to consider a proposal to conclude a private equity investment in the sport's commercial rights with US-based Ackerley Sports Group.
The meeting was scheduled to take place in Cape Town on Thursday but will now be rescheduled at McKenzie's request.
This is to allow time to give government a detailed brief on the proposal.
