TOKYO - The South African Men’s Water Polo team suffered their third successive loss and crashed out without a win at the World Aquatics Championships in Japan.
After losing to Montenegro and Serbia in their opening clashes, South Africa slumped to a third successive loss as Spain claimed a 27-6 win to finish top of the log.
Meanwhile, the result sees the SA Men’s team finish at the bottom of Group D, with a sorry goal difference of minus 71 after managing 21 goals throughout their campaign.
In the women’s category, the SA ladies managed a strong finish despite missing out on the knockout round.
Team SA beat Argentina 12-9 to finish in third place in Group C after losses against Greece and Italy.
