JOHANNESBURG - Legendary South Africa referee Jaco Peyper called time on his career.
Peyper decided to retire after withdrawing from the Six Nations due to an Achilles injury.
He officiated the last of his 67 Tests at last year's Rugby World Cup in France.
The 43-year-old third on the list in terms of matches refereed by South Afrians, only behind Jonathan Kaplan and Craig Joubert.
Peyper took part in three Rugby World Cup tournaments and also played a pivotal role in tournaments such as United Rugby Championship, Super Rugby and Currie Cup.
