Oriental Charm dashes to win 2024 Durban July

DURBAN - Oriental Charm, ridden by JP van der Merwe came in first for this year's edition of the Durban July.

The winner of the main event ran away with almost R3 million prize money.

The event hosted at Greyville Racecourse drew in thousands of spectators from all over South Africa. Which boosted Durban's economy.

The flamboyant gathering is a big money spinner for the city, bringing in over 2-hundred-and-50-million rand directly into the economy.
