BLOEMFONTEIN - Magesi FC have stunned Mamelodi Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup final.
The newcomers in the premier division bounced back from a goal down to snatch a last gasp 2-1 victory.
Goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze gave his fourth man of the match performance, standing between Sundowns and a win.
"Our supporters played a key role. They rose early this morning and travelled hundreds of kilometres to back us," said Chipezeze.
"Sundowns had a lot more possession than us, but we took two of our few chances to achieve a fairytale triumph," added the 34-year-old Zimbabwean shot-stopper.
Sundowns now adjust their sights to the CAF Champions League group stage, which kicks off on Tuesday with the Pretoria outfit hosting Maniema Union from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
