Lorch to return to action for Pirates

JOHANNESBURG - Convicted GBV offender Thembinkosi Lorch will return to action and could be available to play for Orlando Pirates in their Dstv premiership encounter against Golden Arrows on Sunday.

Orlando Pirates confirmed in a statement that Lorch had served his two weeks' suspension at the club.

Lorche was handed a three-year suspended sentence by the Randburg magistrate's court after being found guilty of assaulting his former girlfriend.

He was convicted in November with his sentence being suspended for five years.

The club then conducted it own disciplinary process.

The Sea Robbers confirmed that 30-year-old Lorch has recommitted himself to the club's pledge against gender-based violence.
