High-flying Proteas cautious of tricky Pakistan

NEW DELHI - The Proteas will be looking to better their record against Pakistan at the Cricket World Cup when the two sides clash on Friday morning.

South Africa last beat Pakistan in a World Cup contest 24 years ago in 1999.

Captain Temba Bavuma is wary of the South Asian side’s temperament and knows they may be dangerous.

"I saw a comment that described Pakistan as mercurial.

"I had to Google the word, but it spoke about how a team can be good one day and not so good the next," Bavuma said.

"So, we want to make sure that when they're good, we are so good as well."
