Fans back Boks on first home game post World Cup win

PRETORIA - It’s D-day for the Springboks and Ireland who meet at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld later today. 

The encounter is the Springboks’ first home game since clinching a back-to-back world cup title in France in October. 

But, that tournament saw them lose a bitter defeat to the Irish. In fact, the number one team in the world were last victorious over the second ranked team in the world, Ireland, eight years ago.

Coach Rassie Erasmus has gone with a tried and tested squad, many who played in the world cup. Siya Kolisi remains captain.
