Faf dampens MI Cape Town's spirits

CAPE TOWN - Faf du Plessis has finally come to the party at this season's SA20 League.

The former Proteas captain led the Joburg Super Kings to victory against MI Cape Town.

The home side batted first in a rain affected clash.

In-form duo Rassie van der Dussen and Ryan Rickelton both got out early as Imran Tahir ran the show.

MI Cape Town reached 80 for the loss of three wickets in reduced eight overs.

Meanwhile Du Plessis and opening partner Leus du Plooy unleashed the shackles as the Super Kings chased down the required total with ease.

The Joburg side's skipper contributed with a half ton from just 20 balls as the Super Kings secured an emphatic 10 wickets victory.
