JOHANNESBURG - South Africa played to a 1-all draw against Mozambique in their opening match of the COSAFA Cup at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The senior national men's team, coached by Bafana Bafana assistant coach Helman Mkhalele, opened the scoring through captain Rushwin Dortley in the first half.
However, Mozambique levelled matters in the second half with a well-struck goal by Chamito Alfandega.
South Africa will next play Botswana on Saturday.
