LIMA - Another South African athlete bagged gold in the U20 world champs in Lima, Peru.
SA’s Udeme Okon is now the fastest teenager in the 400m sprint.
Okon blitzed to gold with a time of 45.69 seconds.
He was also the star in the 100 metres despite a slow start.
Okon beat the US duo of Jayden Davis and Sidi Njie, who claimed second and third, respectively.
Davis took silver in 46.08 and Njie a bronze in 46.29
