DURBAN - The third and final day of the Dusi Canoe marathon which started at Inanda Dam to Blue Lagoon in Durban saw Andy Birkett and Matthew Fenn win.
Birkett and Fenn went into the final day with an overnight lead of over four minutes.
The pair powered to an impressive win, making it Birkett’s 14th Dusi win as he edges closer to Dusi king’s Graeme Pope-Ellis' record of 15 wins.
Day one Dusi winners Sibonelo Khwela and Msawenkosi Mtolo settled for second place.
"It certainly wasn’t smooth but a strong partner was backing me and not pointing out too many of my mistakes," said Birkett.
