JOHANNESBURG - Bafana Bafana's preparations for back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Congo-Brazzaville have not been ideal.

Coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that Thalente Mbatha and Jayden Adams withdrew from the squad.

Mbatha got injured during the MTN8 final while Adams is dropped for disciplinary issues.

Bathusi Aubaas and Sinoxolo Kwayiba replace the duo.

Bafana Bafana are targeting six points from Congo-Brazzaville.

The 1996 African champions host the Red Devils on Friday in Gqeberha before travelling to Central Africa four days later.

Bafana are second, tied with Uganda on four points in Group K, while Congo-Brazzaville are a point behind.
