Former Bucs forward Justin Shonga dies aged 27

JOHANNESBURG - Former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga has died following a short illness.

According to reports in Zambia, police confirmed Shonga died at a hospital.

Shonga made 77 appearances for the Sea Robbers, scoring 16 goals and setting up 16 more.

He last played for Najran in the Saudi second division.

Shonga is well-known in South Africa, having played for Sekhukhune United, Cape Town City and TTM after joining Pirates.

He also represented Chipolopolo 15 times, netting seven times.
