UN Habitat recognises the country as being at the forefront of advancing the 2030 sustainable development goals.
The country's delegation was led by Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi.
The forum enabled South Africa to compare local experiences to global best practices, and gain insight on the global conversation on sustainable urbanisation.
