This agreement is for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports.

The agreement awaits final ratification by the President.

Former UCT Vice-Chancellor Mamokgethi Phakeng has raised concerns about the broader issue of visa reciprocity.

She argues that South Africa should demand equal treatment in its international visa arrangements.

Phakeng discussed this with eNCA.
