JOHANNESBURG - The ANC's dismal performance in the May General elections featured heavily in its NEC's four days of deliberations.
Secretary General Fikile Mbalula acknowledged the party may have missed signals, leading up to the elections.
Mbalula says while this is a cause for concern, it is learning from this.
It seems the ANC is tightening its controls on who should be accepted as a member of the party. It says aspirant members must apply and motivate why they should be accepted.
Political analyst Mpumelelo Mkhabela discussed this with eNCA.
