PIETERMARITZBURG - KwaZulu-Natal authorities are trying to tackle the rise in teenage pregnancies among school pupils.
The provincial government says it is working with communities, parents, and traditional leaders to raise awareness and support prevention programmes.
The health and education departments are conducting community-based prevention and support programmes in the province.
"Let us embark on a vigorous campaign of awareness and at the same time ensure that the perpetrators are also reported to the law enforcers or the police," said KZN premier Thami Ntuli.
