JOHANNESBURG - South Africa’s water woes are not just the result of neglected infrastructure.

The country faces the additional challenge of invasive plants damaging bodies of water and ecosystems.

Scientists at the Waainek Mass Rearing Facility in Makhanda are breeding insects as biological controllers of water weeds.

The manager of the Waainek facility, Samella Ngxande-Koza discussed this with eNCA.
