JOHANNESBURG - South African Airways has cancelled 60 percent of its flights because of a strike by pilots over wages.
Members of the South African Airways Pilots Association are demanding a 15.7% salary increase while the airline is offering less than 8.5%.
After emerging from business rescue in 2021 the airline recently reported its first profit in more than a decade.
SAA Interim CEO Professor John Lamola is concerned about the damage this strike is causing to the airline.
Aviation analyst Desmond Latham discussed this with eNCA.
