Parliamentary sitting | Unpacking the first parliament sitting

PARLIAMENT - Friday is D-Day for South Africa's 7th Parliament. 

Members have been sworn in during the first sitting of Parliament in Cape Town. 

The National Assembly is selecting a Speaker, deputy Speaker and the President.

Chief Justice Raymond Zondo has been presiding over the proceedings, where 400 members of parliament were sworn in.

The voting for a Speaker of the house concluded.
