JOHANNESBURG - The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation says Johannesburg can't be allowed to fail as that may have a dire impact on South Africa and the continent.
The state of affairs in Africa’s economic hub remains concerning with political instability. Infrastructure is dilapidated, crime is rampant, and there’s poor service delivery.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Neeshan Balton says they will deliver a memorandum to the Presidency next week, calling for interventions.
"Johannesburg has budget of about R80-billion which is bigger than some provinces and is bigger than most of the countries in the content.
"For Joburg to fail means that the whole of South Africa would feel the impact, as well as Southern Africa and a continent as a whole."
