JOHANNESBURG - A protest in support of the Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini was cancelled on Friday.
Members of the royal regiments or the amabutho say that the board of the Ingonyama Trust is undermining the royal house.

But they cancelled their demonstration claiming the CEO of the Ingonyama Trust, Vela Mngwengwe, instructed staff to take the day off so that no one could receive their memorandum.
The Ingonyama Trust is a repository for the communal land of the Zulu Nation and the King is the sole Trustee.
But the Ingonyama Trust Board administers the Trust and Trust land which makes up about 30% of KZN for the benefit of the Zulu Nation.
There has been a back and forth between the King and the Land Reform and Rural Development Minister about who has the powers to appoint or suspend board members.
Advocate Vela Mngwengwe discussed this with eNCA.
