JOHANNESBURG - Diverse parties with conflicting policies and ideologies have come together to form a Government of National Unity.
They all have to make compromises and prioritise responsible and accountable governance.
While it's too early to assess the performance of the GNU, one reputation expert believes a GNU is good for the country's image.

"It created a positive conversation about South Africa internationally," said Tshepo Matseba.
"Whether that positive trajectory is sustainable is something else and that's because while we're having all these conversations, many different views within the same arrangement or government of national unity, and we're beginning to see cracks in that good conversation."
