Discussion | Sugar Tax risks jobs and livelihoods

JOHANNESBURG - Cane growers say the Health Promotion Levy undermines the sustainability of the industry, as well as the millions of jobs and rural livelihoods it supports. 

They have slammed claims that the sugar tax has not been associated with job losses in related industries in South Africa.

The organisation says these claims are incorrect and disingenuous.
