JOHANNESBURG - There are growing calls to ensure women are offered opportunities to succeed in the business sector. One expert says driving positive change in youth and women entrepreneurship is not just a choice but a necessity.
According to the South African Report on Small Business, the number of young people involved as entrepreneurs remains extremely low.
This translates to just four-percent of the total youth population of working age between 15 and 34 years.

When speaking on this matter, Absa's Managing executive for Small and medium-sized enterprises, Ronnie Mbatsane believes that creating platforms where women and young people can talk and engage will help in promoting women and young entrepreneurs.
