CAPE TOWN - The government has been pushing for a minimum wage of at least R27,58 for all workers, including farm and domestic workers.
This is the lowest remuneration that employers are legally permitted to pay for each ordinary hour worked.
The South African Institute of Race Relations is urging the National Minimum Wage Commission to reverse its latest recommendation.
To discuss this further, the organisation’s legal executive director, Gabriel Crouse spoke to eNCA.
