Discussion | DA calls for Minister Ntshavheni's removal

DURBAN - The Democratic Alliance insists that people being criminally investigated for corruption should not serve in cabinet.

Their latest call comes after revelations that Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni,
is under investigation by the Hawks for alleged tender corruption worth R2.3 million rand.

This alleged crime dates back to to 2009 when she was Municipal Manager of Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality in Limpopo.

The Hawks say the case is ready for prosecution.

It's not the first time a close ally of the president has come under scrutiny on corruption allegations.
