CAPE TOWN - Gun violence and shootings continue to spiral out of control around the country.
A total of 333 children with firearm-related injuries were treated at public health facilities in the Western Cape between the first of January and the 12th of June.

The provincial health department says during the same period, 58 children lost their lives in shooting incidents. This includes children as young as 12 months.
