CAPE TOWN - It's been a milestone weekend in South Africa's political landscape.
Friday's first sitting of Parliament marked the swearing-in of members of Parliament, and the election of the Speaker, Thoko Didiza, Deputy Speaker, Annelie Lotriet and the re-election of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Proceedings continue on Saturday with the National Council of Provinces as provincial delegates were sworn in and Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane was appointed as its chairperson.
