JOHANNESBURG - The Township Entrepreneurs Alliance says regulating spaza shops requires collaboration between the government and those operating in the sector.

This follows the government's announcement of new regulations for spaza shops across the country, prompted by a series of food poisoning incidents that claimed the lives of over 20 children in Gauteng.
The alliance says the government should involve community organisations in these efforts.
