DURBAN - ActionSA is set to march against illegal immigration, calling for stronger policies that prioritise South Africans.
But the plan has raised concerns about potential violence against foreign nationals.

Last month, Police Minister Senzo Mchunu said immigration challenges are fuelling the rise of crime in South Africa, especially kidnappings with many cases involving foreign syndicates.
As law enforcement agencies continue to fend-off and prevent immigrants crossing into SA illegally, the Border Management Authority revealed that in the past festive season the number of attempted illegal border crossing went up by 215%.
ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal chairperson Zwakele Mncwango said the country's government needs to implement and strengthen laws against illegal immigration.

Mncwango has called on South Africans to be part of the March against illegal immigrantion taking place in Durban on Monday. The march is set to move from King Dinuzulu Park to the City Hall.
