JOHANNESBURG - Organised crime at our borders and ports of entry is costing the country billions.
Undocumented adults and children, drugs, illicit cigarettes, expired foods and poisons, are smuggled into the country daily.
On Monday police intercepted a container at the Durban harbour from Brazil, with cocaine valued at R85m.
Also this week police seized counterfeit and illicit goods valued at 66-million rand, in Johannesburg alone.
And as the festive season approaches, authorities are beefing up security at our borders posts and ports of entry.
