JOHANNESBURG - It's World Obesity Day, and unfortunately, obesity rates are on the rise around the world.
Experts say more than half of all South African women will be obese by 2030.
Obesity can lead to non-communicable diseases such as Type 2 diabetes and at least 13 types of cancer.
However, buying nutritious food is not an option for many cash-strapped consumers.
The Association for Dietetics says there are many factors contributing to this.
