(FILES) This court sketch created on September 17, 2024, shows defendant Dominique Pelicot during his trial in which he is accused of drugging his wife so he and scores of strangers could rape her at their home in Mazan, a small town in the south of France, at the courthouse of Avignon in Avignon. For weeks, "personality investigators" have been taking the stand in the Mazan rapes trial to dissect the past of the men accused of sexually assaulting Gisele Pelicot. These reports will serve as a compass for the magistrates when handing down sentences. Conducted during the investigation, the investigations of these ‘biographers for justice’ should make it possible to individualise the sentences when the verdict is handed down, expected on December 20, 2024 and to assess the possibility of adapting them.
