JOHANNESBURG - The country's judiciary is under attack from people who want to delegitimise it.
That's according to Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
Speaking to JJ Tabane on Power To Truth, he said there are continuous efforts to taint the justice system.
"Some of the attacks are from people who want to delegitimise the judiciary for their own purposes.," he said.
Judiciary not independent
Zondo also said the judiciary is still not institutionally independent.
He says South Africa is lagging behind other African countries.
